Productronica 2009: a great success in public and interest for SEICA!
 

The most important world exhibition for electronic manufacturing has come at the end of a complex year, characterized by great world economic uncertainty  making difficult any kind of forecast . In spite of this, the exhibition has closed with an extremely positive balance for SEICA, both in terms of numbers (visitors) and interest.

SEICA presented the new Flyscan module embedded in the Flying Probe Pilot V8 system with 8 vertical flying probes. The great innovation of the  FlyScan is in the availability a boundary scan system really integrated at its core in a flying probe test system (available on the whole Seica's Pilot/Aerial  line) which grants high performances at low costs. The innovative aspects of this module were not unnoticed to the visitors of SEICA, boot, who immediately appreciated its advantages, both in terms of test time and reliability, as a solution for electronic board test and repair.

In the boot it has also been presented the T60 Firefly, a laser selective soldering system, and it has shown how the simplicity of use and automation allow these systems of granting efficiency and flexibility to meet different manufacturing requirements.

Besides, the SEICA boot, hosted the Omron AOI European team, a japanese trademark represented by Seica in Italy, France and Germany. 2 different solutions for AOI were presented: the VT-RNS system which utilizes the “Colour Highlight Technology” (patented by Omron) and the automated load/download to offer a high quality test solution at low costs; and the VP-5000 system, the 3D solution for the paste inspection, allowing the control required to grant high quality from the beginning of the production line.

There were really many visitors at the SEICA boot and they all confirmed the international character of this two-yearly event, coming not only from the main European countries, but also from United States, India, Colombia, Israel, Corea, Egypt and Brasil. Also the presence of Italian visitors was particularly interesting and constant during the whole exhibition.
