The PILOT VX test platform, showcased at Booth C4, is the gold standard in flying probe speed and performance. A state-of-the-art mechanical architecture and advanced motion controllers enable up to a 50% reduction in test time. Its 12 multi-function test heads allow double-sided probing of up to 44 points simultaneously. The platform integrates cutting-edge measurement hardware and an innovative measurement technique, delivering unmatched testing performance.

The optimized VIVA software further enhances efficiency by enabling parallel execution of various test types. Advanced analysis capabilities, powered by artificial intelligence algorithms, automatically optimize the test flow in real-time while maintaining full test coverage.
The FlyPod option expands testing capabilities by allowing a single mobile probe to handle up to 14 channels, enabling boundary scan access and onboard programming—without the need for fixed external cables. The Pilot VX also includes options for testing flex circuits and for performing electrical and optical tests on LEDs. Additionally, the FlyStrain™ feature allows the generation of pressure/force topology maps of the device under test—previously a function only available in traditional fixture-based systems. These advanced tools are now available in flying probe technology, ideal for testing ceramics, wafers, avionics, and satellite boards that require delicate probing and full traceability.

The Pilot VX is a powerful asset deployable at every stage of today’s accelerated product lifecycle—from concept to design, prototype, and production. Its ability to provide immediate, highly accurate access to all points on a prototype board, combined with a robust suite of hardware and software measurement tools (including PR boost, which can power the board up to 2A per probe across the 8 standard electrical probes), enables fast and efficient validation without requiring deep training or custom test programs. Once the design is validated, VIVA’s automatic test program generation from board CAD data streamlines the process for pre-series or full production, minimizing setup time.Thanks to the dramatic improvements in speed and performance, the Pilot VX now represents a key solution even in high-volume production environments, where automation and reliability are essential.

In the defense sector, many manufacturers face the challenge of extending the lifecycle of their designs, particularly when managing component obsolescence. To address this, Seica has introduced the new Valid LR system, specifically developed for Legacy Replacement. This flexible and powerful platform enables rapid and accurate migration of existing TPSs (Test Program Sets) while preserving original fault coverage. Users can continue using test programs just as they did on the original tester, with the added benefit of a future-ready platform.
